We understand the need for interpretation services in real time. Interactions with Limited English Proficient persons and/or Deaf and hard hearing clients in any industry require careful attention, clear understanding, and adequate responses. Lack of a professional interpreter can quickly lead to serious misunderstandings that may result in illness, lawsuits, or loss of business, depending on the field.
LRC® is comprised of only the most qualified and experienced interpreters, capable of handling any kind of interpreting situation. Our interpreters are available 24/7/365 to support our clients and their consumers in achieving effective communication. We provide services to federal, state, city and county entities, private corporations, educational institutions, health care providers, and more. Years of experience in a variety of industries have taught us that every client is different. For that, we offer a range of options when it comes to interpreting services. The interpretation service that best suits your needs will be dictated by your personal preference, as well as the setting, time requirement, and nature of the interaction. We offer three types of interpretation:
Face to face communication is the most common and effective type. When working with Limited English Proficient (LEP) or deaf persons, personal human interaction and visual contact are imperative to maintain the efficiency, accuracy, and dependability of the communication.
Our On-Site Interpreting service is the most appropriate solution for meetings, conferences, and procedures requiring face-to-face interaction. The LRC® interpreter will help maintain effective communication unhindered by the language skills of either party, as well as bridge the cultural gaps expressed in non-verbal communication. This ensures that the objectives of your interaction are achieved, boosting productivity and customer satisfaction.
Over the Phone Interpreting (OPI) is widely used in a number of settings, including healthcare, government, business, finance, 911/Emergency, and other situations in which immediate communication is necessary and there is no time to request an on-site interpreter. OPI is ideal for short encounters such as arranging appointments, brief follow-ups, simple inquiries, and emergency situations while an on-site interpreter is on the way. A professional interpreter can be on the phone to assist you almost instantaneously! OPI is not recommended for lengthy interactions, particularly if important, sensitive, or confidential issues are being discussed, and an understanding of non-verbal expressions is important.
Video Remote Interpreting
When you encounter Limited-English Proficient (LEP) or deaf consumers, you will need the services of an interpreter. An on-site interpretation service will not always be required or may even not be suitable on some occasions. The time or circumstances may not permit an interpreter to be physically present. Still, the nature of your requirement will demand that the interpreter sees what you need to show him/her for proper interpretation.
Video Remote Interpreting service is the option for you if the interpreter needs access to visual information in order to give a meaningful interpretation, or your patient/consumer is deaf. With this service, you can establish video contact with one of our professional interpreters without having him/her physically there. It is very easy to set up – just install the application, log in to your account, and select your language. Spanish and ASL are available on demand, 24/7/365 while other languages can be pre-requested with limited waiting time.
